Rhythm Memory Game

Echo is a free rhythm memory game that tests how accurately you can remember and reproduce timing. A beat pattern plays as flashes and clicks; then it's your turn to tap it back. Hit at least 70% timing accuracy to move on — each round adds another beat, and three off-beat rounds end the game.

How Echo is scored

We measure the gaps between your taps and compare them with the gaps in the pattern. A perfect echo scores 100%. Rounds above 70% earn points that grow with pattern length; rounds below cost a life.

What it trains

Remembering rhythm uses short-term memory for time intervals plus precise motor timing — the same mix used by musicians, dancers and rhythm-game players. It's a fun benchmark, not a clinical test.

FAQ

Is Echo a memory test or a rhythm test?

Both: you have to remember the pattern's timing and then reproduce it accurately with your taps.

Tips for a higher score?

Hum or nod along while it plays, then copy the feel rather than counting milliseconds. Tap with one finger and keep it relaxed.

Does sound matter?

Sound helps but isn't required — the pad flashes on every beat, so you can play muted too.
